Which one should I choose?
Both plugins are free, open-source (AGPL-3.0), and generate AI keywords, captions, and titles for your photos. The difference is scope:
- Choose LrGeniusAI if you also want semantic search, AI culling, face recognition, or editing recipes — and don't mind running a local background service to power those features.
- Choose LrGeniusTagAI if you only want fast, accurate AI keywording with the simplest possible setup, and don't need the rest of the workflow suite.
You can install either one first and switch later — your Lightroom catalog and keywords aren't tied to a specific plugin. See the FAQ for more details.
